YAC Is Back

Spring has sprung and with a new public holiday in the bag and another public holiday just around the corner, we thought that we’d heard all the good news that these school holidays had to bring… but wait, there’s more!

With the return of the school term on Monday 10 October, we will see the long-awaited comeback of face-to-face sessions for the Youth Advisory Council. Due to the pandemic our YAC experienced a temporary hiatus and migrated to online meetings, but we are super excited to announce that moving forward, all YAC meetings will be held in person on a fortnightly basis.

We are inviting all existing members of the YAC to attend a session on Thursday 6 October to help us plan the program for the term ahead. Some of the exciting new projects that members of the YAC will be working on include: the launch of the youth resource made in collaboration with Western Sydney University and the Aurora Group and a Halloween Disco.

An enormous thank you and farewell-for-now to the incredibly dedicated Vanessa Gonzales, for all the important work of establishing, planning and convening the Youth Advisory Council for the last 4 years. This term, the Youth Advisory Council will be headed up by Mon Enriquez.
