Meet the wonderful Stacey who coordinators our Inner West Playgroup

In 2016 I married my beautiful wife Kerryn and in 2018 we welcomed our favourite little man Josh into our lives. Having grown up in an area that had the highest no vote in all of Australia it was really important to us that Josh was involved in a community where he could see that it was ok to have same sex parents.

This lead me to Rainbow Families playgroup. I thought it was something I would go along to on the odd occasion but from the moment I walked in I felt so welcome and have built some amazing friendships. I took on the coordination role for playgroup in the hope that I can make families feel as welcome as we were made to feel the first time we came along.

The Inner West Rainbow Families Playgroup runs each Thursday morning from the Joseph Sargent Community Centre in Erskineville and provides parents and carers with an opportunity to meet other parents, make friends and share experiences and ideas. Children have fun, make new friends and develop through play. For more details about playgroup contact us.
