Thank You Dror

We would like to thank and say goodbye to the wonderful Rainbow Families board member Dror (he/him).

If you’ve come to say hello to us at Mardi Gras Fair Day in recent years you may well have chatted to Dror, as he’s been one of our fabulous friendly faces at the event. Dror not only volunteered over the years to assist in running our stall, he also set it up on a couple of occasions and coordinated our fabulous volunteers for it.

For about six years Dror has been a part of Rainbow Families, providing support and guidance in several ways. A huge advocate for Gay Dads representation within the organisation. Volunteered to assist in various social events over the years. Dror proudly marched with GayDads under our Rainbow Families banner Mardi Gras parade several times too and we are sure will continue doing so in the future.

One of the easiest and most popular ways for lots of LGBTQ+ to engage with Rainbow Families is online, especially via social media. As the tech savvy voice of reason, Dror has been an integral part of that.

During the past three years Dror has taken on the vital task of overseeing the governance of Rainbow Families as a Board member. This is no small undertaking and he has truly been an asset to our team. As our organisation grew Dror set up our Governance subcommittee so that our organisation has sufficient oversight of its operations and that it runs in accordance with our regulatory commitments.

We will certainly miss having him on the Board. No doubt we will be seeing plenty of Dror as his involvement with Rainbow Families continues in other capacities.

For now all that remains is to say a big rainbow thank you to Dror, it’s has been a pleasure and you have always brought lots of fun to the team.

Rainbow Families is built on volunteers, so if you think you have what it takes to join our Board or volunteer in any other capacity, please get in touch by completing the web form.
