Rainbow Families is looking at bringing together a group of people interested in increasing the understanding of rainbow families (LGBTQ+ parents and their children) in the primary and secondary education system. We believe it is important to address any gaps or improvements that could be made in the education system. A supportive education system that acknowledges diversity and provides our children with the skills to navigate an often complex process.
Call out for teachers, school counsellors, people from the Department of Education, teachers federation and other people interested in this area.
The group will meet monthly with the goal of identifying gaps or areas of improvement and then work to close the gaps.
