As Coronavirus (COVID19) begins to have an increased impact on communities, there is a need for us to take measures to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our volunteers, and all in our community.
At Rainbow Families, we know that you are all committed to doing what's best for your children.
All our face to face services, events and groups are suspended until further notice.
We will continue to conduct the community development projects, resource development and online community support. We will also continue to represent the needs and be a voice for our community.
We know that minimising social contact with others is an effective way to reduce transmission of Covid-19 and other viruses. We also know that it's important to stay connected and find ways to socialised and support each other. We encourage you to stay connected in other ways:
Connect with our community on Facebook.
Stay connected to members in your social group. There are Facebook groups for all our playgroups and social events.
Join the mailing list to receive the newsletters
Amid all this uncertainty and anxiety it’s important to remember we can all help by following simple health advice – wash your hands regularly, try not to touch your face, cough or sneeze into your elbow and stay home if you’re unwell. And nag the kids relentlessly to do the same.
Where can I get the latest information?
We strongly encourage you to follow the advice from NSW Health in relation to COVID-19. https://www.health.nsw.gov.au/Infectious/diseases/Pages/coronavirus.aspx
The Australian Government Department of Health issues a daily alert on the latest medical advice and official reports. https://www.health.gov.au/news/health-alerts/novel-coronavirus-2019-ncov-health-alert
Take care
