Little Rainbows and YAC are a group of young people from rainbow families who meet throughout the term to socialise and participate in a range of fun activities.
Term 2 Newsletter
Little Rainbows and YAC started off the term with a few games of laser tag at Archie Brothers. It was a fierce competition between the two teams with much laughter as well.
We also rode the dodgem cars and played some of the arcade games.
Little Rainbows competed in a Lego Masters style challenge where they had to create a theme park.
They stared off with a competition to create the best theme park gate and then they broke into pairs to create rides and attractions for the theme park.
The end result was a theme park with a range of fully functioning rides.
YAC competed a circus workshop which started with a warm up which had us in stitches from laughing so much.
Then, we learnt a range of different activities such juggling, yo-yos, spinning hats and twirling sticks.
We finished the evening by creating a human pyramid.
We have shared pizza each week and had the opportunity to chat about things that have been happening in our families, at school and our favourite things we did in the holidays.
The activities planned for the rest of the term are ice skating, a games and movie night. Please contact Geoffrey Parry-Ewing the YAC coordinator for more information at [email protected]
