A huge thank you to Samantha Frain who is stepping down from the Rainbow Families Committee. Sam has been on the committee for a number of years, and has made a massive contribution to the Rainbow Families Community in that time.
Sam let the committee know of many grant opportunities, and applied for countless grants on behalf of Rainbow Families. Her grant writing skills are exceptional and thanks to Sam, Rainbow Families has been successful in many grant applications in recent years.
Without Sam’s applications we wouldn’t have been able to offer our volunteer first aid training, a donation of LGBTIQA+ inclusive kids books to regional libraries, our excellent events like the Halloween Disco and End Of Year Celebration, and most importantly our wonderful new website.
Like all of our committee members, Sam has helped out by volunteering on our stalls at Fair Day, Parramatta Pride, the Halloween Disco and she even choreographed a dance routine for families to dance up Oxford St in the Mardi Gras Parade.
Sam, thank you for all of the volunteer hours you have contributed to Rainbow Families, and our community. We wish you all the best and look forward to seeing you at an event soon.
