Family Pride Wrap - 2025

What a beautiful day we had at this year’s Family Pride event. A huge thank you to CommBank for funding the event, and to our wonderful community partners who came along, hosted stalls, and ran fantastic kids’ activities.

What a day! Thanks to everyone who joined us for Storytime with Abbie Jane from the Rainbow Shoelace Project, art with Jay Wood Diverse Art Therapy, face painting, Sea Life Aquarium fun, and so much more.

A big thank you to our supporters: CommBank, Kaleido, Wear It Purple, Twenty10, Barnardos, Genea, and Triple P Parenting — we couldn’t have done it without you.

There was something for everyone, and the kids had a ball.

We also heard from Penny Sharpe, Darcy Byrne, Liz Atkins and Rainbow Families Ashley Scott, whose speeches reminded us just how important events like Family Pride are.

So many families told us it’s one of their favourite Rainbow Families events each year. It’s a time to reconnect with old friends, meet new ones, and let the kids catch up with their old playgroup pals. Most of all, it’s a day where our community comes together in a safe and welcoming space, where everyone is free to be their authentic selves.

Thanks again to everyone who made the day so special.

We can’t wait to see you again next year.

Keep an eye out for lots of beautiful family pics coming up in the next week or so on FB & Insta!
