YAC Newsletter It has been a great start to the term for both YAC and Little Rainbows.
Little Rainbows started the term with a consultation workshop with the Australian Human Rights Commission about the Supporting Quality Engagement with Children Project. The young people were asked a range of questions about their life, connections to community and building stronger communities. This was followed by the usual pizza and some games.
YAC showed their cooking skills with a dessert challenge. I was so impressed with the range of dishes they made, including butter scotch pudding, spiced pears, brownies, cakes and chocolate sauce. We all left with a bunch of tasty treats to take home.
YAC and Litte Rainbows met together for team challenges. We started building a Nutri Grain tower, followed by a dress up challenge, a rescue mission and a balloon fort. It was a very competitive competition with lots of photo finishes.
Little Rainbows has met most recently for a drama workshop with a number of drama games and challenges.
We still have a few sessions left this term including a circus workshop, minute to win it challenges and an escape room.
Lots of cool experiences had by our young people!
