T. Rowe Price Hosts Training Session with Rainbow Families in Sydney

A warm welcome for Rainbow Families from the T. Rowe Price team for Pride Month!

Recently, investment management firm T. Rowe Price’s PRIDE Australia committee hosted a fantastic training session in Sydney with Early Learning Family Diversity Inclusion Training Coordinator Marly Greenwood. The goal was to create a safe and inclusive work environment for everyone in their company and outside of work, in their communities.

A Welcoming Group

The session was filled with warmth and genuine interest. It was an open and relaxed Q&A format, which allowed participants to ask lots of questions. They were eager to learn more about Rainbow Families, the work they do, and the challenges faced by families like Marly's.

Focus on Being an Ally

The main focus was on how to be a true ally in the workplace. Marly shared valuable insights on practical steps staff can take to support their LGBTQ+ colleagues and create an inclusive environment.

Raising Inclusive Children and Family Conversations

Participants were also curious about raising children to be inclusive of LGBTQ+ people and how to discuss LGBTQ+ acceptance with older family members and culturally diverse friends and family. These topics sparked thoughtful and engaging conversations.

Support for Rainbow Families

Towards the end of the session, everyone was reminded that it’s almost the end of the financial year. They encouraged donations to Rainbow Families, with the exciting news that T. Rowe Price would match every dollar donated by individuals.

The genuine interest and engagement from everyone in the room showed T. Rowe Price's strong commitment to supporting the LGBTQ+ community.

If you'd also like to donate to Rainbow families for EOFY, we would be thrilled with your contribution. We are a small but mighty team and every dollar we receive makes a massive difference to the services we can provide FOC to our community. Thank you for your support.
