A new playgroup for all LGBTQ+ families in Melbourne's inner west!

Come along for fun, connection, and a safe space where kids can play and parents and carers can meet others in the community.

When: Wednesdays, 2:00 – 4:30 PM

What happens at Rainbow Families Playgroup?

Playgroup is a warm, easygoing space for our kids to have fun, where we can meet and connect with other families just like ours.

At playgroup we might do things like paint, play music, splash with water, make artworks or explore with toys. One parent put it beautifully:

“Most of us don’t live in quarter acre blocks, so the thought of setting up art and painting at home can be a headache. It’s great to come here and let the kids have those experiences.”

The kids share morning tea together, which is a lovely way to socialise and learn from each other.

For parents and carers, it’s a chance to chat, share ideas, swap baby clothes, and support each other as rainbow families. Friendships often continue outside of playgroup, for both kids and adults.
