KIAMA WEEKEND AWAY 2025!

Rainbow Families Kiama Weekend Away 2025 – What a Ripper! 🌈

What a top weekend we had at the Rainbow Families Kiama getaway. A bit of rain here and there, but it didn’t stop the fun – if anything, it made it even more memorable.

We kicked off Friday afternoon with a laid-back welcome at the beachfront. Everyone brought their own drinks and nibbles, and there were some light snacks to share. Great chance to catch up and meet new faces. Later on, some of us braved the water for a night swim – perfect way to end the day.

Saturday was packed full of good stuff. The water park opened bright and early, and the kids (and big kids) absolutely loved it. At 9:30, the "Hike with the Dykes" crew headed off on a 5K walk – plenty of hills, heaps of laughs, and some good chats along the way.

In the afternoon, we hit the beachfront again for the EDOR Game – a great Indigenous catch-and-tag game. The kids ran wild (in the best way), and the parents stepped in as refs. No parent, no play.

We all met up at the Watchtower later for a big group photo (say cheese!), and then enjoyed some post-game drinks back at the beachfront.

Sunday morning was all about the kids – the Easter Bunny made the rounds at the cabins and campsites, handing out special deliveries. Big thanks to everyone who let us know about allergies ahead of time – made things run super smooth.

Massive thanks to everyone who came along, helped out, and made the weekend such a blast. And of course, shoutout to Bern for being the legend behind the scenes – you’re a gem!

Can’t wait to do it all again next year! 🐰☀️🌊 If you haven't joined us before, don't miss the next one. Create some lovely memories with your family and community :)
