How Can Religious Schools Support LGBTIQA+ Students And Families - 29 July

This #StrongSafeFabulous online workshop for educators working in religious schools, and early childcare centres explores the intersectionality between religion / religious services and LGBTIQA+ parents / parents of LGBTIQA+ children.

This practical 60 minute webinar will have tips for educators on how to include and support LGBTIQA+ children and students, and well as families with LGBTIQA+ parents / carers. 

Anthony Venn-Brown, Founder and CEO of Ambassadors and Bridge Builders International will be speaking from his experience as an openly gay man supporting religious organisations to be more inclusive of LGBTIQA+ people. We will also hear from Rainbow Families Cochair Scott Brunelle, a gay dad and parent of faith who will share his experience as a parent navigating religious schools. And Mary Flaskas a director from the Inclusivity Consultants, will talk about her experience working with schools, early childhood centres and other organisations to create safe, supportive and celebratory environments for LGBTIQ+ families.

The program is open to educators and school staff across Australia, but note the session is on Friday 29th July from 12.30pm - 1.30pm Sydney time and will be offered via zoom. The session will be recorded and available to view after the event. Please register below so the link can be sent to you.
