Fair Day is all about colour, connection, creativity — and celebrating every kind of family. This year, Rainbow Families is excited to invite our community to take part in a special, hands-on experience designed especially for rainbow families with kids.

“Home Is Where the Joy Is” – An Ecstatica Family Art Experience is a playful, welcoming art activity happening at the Rainbow Families stall at Fair Day, where children and their families are invited to pause, create, and imagine what home means to them.
Facilitated by Diverse Art Therapy, this experience gives families the chance to create their own mini “joyful home” artwork, inspired by the Mardi Gras theme Ecstatica — think movement, colour, freedom, and big feelings. Using art as a form of expression, children can explore what makes their home feel safe, exciting, and full of love, while parents and carers enjoy a moment of connection and creativity alongside them.
This initiative is proudly sponsored by Helm Finance, a rainbow-family-owned mortgage brokerage that supports first-home buyers and growing families. Helm Finance has partnered with Rainbow Families to help create a space at Fair Day that celebrates not just where we live, but how we live — with joy, belonging, and community at the centre.
What to expect at the Rainbow Families stall:
