🌈 Little Rainbows Youth Council Website Launch

What a great night - we launched Little Rainbows!

The Rainbow Families Youth Council proudly launched their new website, an initiative entirely driven and hosted by the young people themselves!

The event was an amazing celebration, bringing many families together for a special dinner to mark the occasion.

Rainbow Families EO Ashley Scott said, "We are so proud of our Youth Advisory Council for creating Australia’s first resource developed by young people with LGBTQ+ parents, for other young people in the Rainbow Families community.

The launch of the Little Rainbows website allows families from all across Australia to be able to access this important resource and connect with other families just like theirs."

The website serves as a dedicated space for LGBTQIA+ youth, offering valuable resources and opportunities for connection and advocacy.

During the dinner, council members presented the site’s features and shared a video now featured on the website.

SPECIAL GUESTS:

Special guests at the launch included the Hon Ged Kearney MP, Kristine Anderson from Anthony Albanese’s office, Youth Advocate Zoë Robinson, and Natalie Sutton from the Telstra Foundation. Thank you so much for making time for our big night, we loved having you join us :)

Thanks also to Ashley Scott and Geoffrey Parry-Ewing for your overseeing and ongoing support of YAC.

GREAT WORK FROM THE YOUTH COUNCIL!

This event was a huge milestone for the Youth Council and our community, creating a much-needed platform for LGBTQIA+ youth to connect and have their voices heard. 🌟
