Get-togethers start with a baby Acknowledgement of Country, followed by a parent/carer check-in where we talk about the ‘highs and lows’ of the week. Sessions also include a featured activity run by our facilitator. To see more of what we do, check out our Instagram.

- Free to attend
- Direct/breast/chest/bottle feeding or pumping welcome

What happens once you register?
You’ll receive:
- A welcome email with more information.
- The schedule of activities for the Term.
- A welcome text with the facilitator’s mobile number.
- A link to join one or both WhatsApp groups for updates and introductions.

Mon Feb 10th - Co-regulation session
Psychologist Jade Goodman will walk us through strategies for parenting during emotional upset. Think car seats and leaving the playground.
Sat Feb 22nd - Lake Ginninderra
A swim and a hang at Canberra’s version of a beach. Bring a picnic rug!
Mon March 17th - Parent/child yoga
Gentle yoga with instructor Bell in a space that looks like a mood board. Appropriate for all post-natal and fitness levels.
Sat March 22nd - Bike ride
We’re heading to a ‘learn to ride’ bike track! Picnic rug chilling for babies in their pre-bike era.
Mon April 14th - Infant Dietician
‘Ask me anything' with infant dietician Tracy Haub for help starting solids, allergies, choking risk reduction, and more.
Sat April 26th - Bubbles in the park
A delightful bubble-oriented hang at the park. Bring bubble blowing stuff.
Mon May 12th - Art class 1
Art therapist and Seahorse parent Tara will help us use creativity to connect with our inner child and also our outside ones.
Sat May 24th - Drag sensory @ Smiths
Drag extraordinaire Guy Alias giving us a gorgeous sensory experience as well as the experience of being at a bar before midday.
Mon June 16th - Art class 2
Our second art session! Aka exploring our process-driven practice, juxtaposing liminality and the ephemeral. I asked ChatGPT for ‘art words’ for this blurb.
Sat June 28th - PlayUP
PlayUP excursion! Three rooms with inclusive books, beautiful sensory toys, and a dewy-eyed view of democracy.
Mon July 14th - Drag story time
We’re celebrating queer culture with Drag artist Iky, here to captivate us with exceptional literature!
Sat July 26th - Museum
Excursion time! Discover dinos, killer whales, and that blue car I feel could be a Volkswagen? Not my area.
Mon Aug 11th - Painting day
PlaygroupsACT is coming to help us get creative! Paint and paper provided.
Sat Aug 23rd - Mt Majura walk
15min easy nature walk on Mt Majura ending at a dam. Bring a baby carrier for the 30m of the track that is inaccessible by pram.
Mon Sept 8th - Music Jam
Music teacher, musician, and Seahorse parent Luchi on guitar/vocals, kids on percussion.
Sat Sept 27th - John Knight Memorial Park
Park time! Outstanding equipment and outstanding ducks. Meet at the Rainbow Serpent playground.
Mon Oct 13th - Gardening day
Seahorse parent Amanda leading a gardening session! Baby hands in dirt!
Sat Oct 25th - Sculpture garden
Running around big shiny sculptures. The kids will love it.
Mon Nov 10th - Botanic gardens
Touch some grass. Breathe the cool air. Defend your cake from the overly familiar wattlebird at the cafe.
Sat Nov 22nd - Fire Truck visit
Finishing the year off with a visit from a nee-naw nee-naw! They’re yellow in the ACT! What a lewk.
